Typequick for Students Online
Touch Typing for Students Online: the complete touch typing-teaching system. Aimed at students aged from 6 – 16, Typequick is used by hundred of schools in the UK and thousands across the globe.
TYPEQUICK FOR STUDENTS: The benefits
- Touch typing is learned very quickly – usually in around 10 hours with the students learning at their own pace. The course adds extra remedial lessons automatically, tailored to account for a student’s individual progress, so speeding up and focusing the learning process.
- As the course is delivered online, students can learn both at school and at home, and teachers can easily monitor progress at any time, via the online administration system. As the course needs little or no supervision and can be completed in short sessions out of normal lesson time if necessary, there is maximum flexibility for both the teacher and the student.
- There is a Learning Management System, through which teachers can manage subscriptions, processes enrolments and monitors students’ progress.
- The course is eligible for funding from the Harnessing Technology Grant (see below).
TYPEQUICK FOR STUDENTS: Straightforward Set up
- Online delivery: no installation is required as the course is available via the Internet. Your IT department need not be involved at all.
- The student simply logs on using any computer with broadband, and every session that is completed will be recorded so you can monitor progress.
TYPEQUICK FOR STUDENTS: Methodology and motivation
- A cartoon story line that follows cool ‘Kewala’ as he meets new friends and learns to touch type along the way.

- The course keeps a student’s interest through the storyline and activities and by allowing the student to re-set the screen with new fonts, colours and styles.
