Keyboard and Touch Typing Skills For Kids

Typequick for Students is a training program designed to teach touch typing for kids aged 6 to 16 – but adults love it too!  It uses the same highly successful Typequick touch typing teaching methodology as Typequick Professional, but uses a fun approach by following cool ‘Kewala’ as he travels around Australia meeting zany characters whilst learning to type along the way.

Typequick for Students teaches touch typing for kids, it gives you all the skills you need for using all your fingers and without looking at the keyboard, all in around 10 hours.  Once you have learned the position of the keys, it will help you to build your speed and accuracy as it takes you through a range of further exercises that will hone your skills.  It will help your spelling too.

The program will provide you with feedback on your performance as you progress, an ongoing score that you can compare against your friends and it will regularly encourage you as you move through the lessons.  This fun touch typing for kids course will assess your progress as it goes along and will give you additional remedial exercises, designed especially for you, as it identifies which keys you need to practice more.

Ideal for schools that want their pupils to become more skilled and confident at the computer, and to gain a skill that will stay with them for life, this touch typing for kids training consists of the following:-

  • 10 main keyboard lessons which introduce all the letters, principal punctuation keys and the number row
  • A course module that focuses on all the punctuation keys

  • Lots and lots of exercises to increase your touch typing speed and improve your accuracy, including material on exciting and interesting subjects such as the planets, precious metals, the senses and Australian animals
