‘Type-Net for Schools’ – was launched in Spring 2011. The idea was to create a ‘community’ of schools using Typequick online courseware. The main feature of membership is a unique annual courseware site licence which is only available to Type-Net members, but there are other benefits too. With the site licence, each member school is able to enrol as many pupils (and staff) onto the Typequick course as they wish. The cost of the annual licence fee is so low that some larger schools are paying the equivalent of around 20p per pupil!
Each pupil ’subscription’ lasts for one year from the date they start the course. The cost of the annual licence is kept low through the economies of scale brought about through a growing list of members, which has recently reached 55 schools. Click here to see the latest list. From as little as £195, it includes the Typequick Learning Management System, used to enrol pupils and track their progress, automatic updates, and technical support from Type&Test’s efficient and friendly team.
