Touch typing is cool….it’s official. In this day and age, given the amount of time most of us spend using a computer, isn’t it about time that we all learned to type properly?
Why is it that so many of us waste hours prodding clumsily at our keyboard with the same pair of long-suffering fingers, when if we spent just half an hour a day for about a month, we could learn to touch type, using all our fingers and without looking down at the keyboard?
If you think that touch typing is only for secretaries, then catch up! Why use just two fingers when you have got lots more at your disposal? After all, would you hop around on one leg all day or read a book with one eye shut? I doubt it, so why do think it is OK to use just one fifth of your fingers when you type?
Learn to type properly and you will:-
- Save time – literally hours of it if you usually spend a lot of time at a computer
- Be more productive – do more with the extra time that you have
- Be more relaxed – sit back look at the screen and let your fingers do the talking! No more hunching your shoulders and getting stressed out.
- Produce more accurate documents. By looking at the screen and not the keyboard, you will see any mistakes you make immediately and be able to correct them as you go along. (That will save you even more time).
Have you made any New Year Resolutions yet? Then make one straight away by ordering Typequick and learning to touch type!
